the Coca-Cola company, how I don’t ever want to pay them for water in my life
- something on taps -
actually a lot on taps:
on/off on/off on/off on/off on/off
and other things too like kinds of taps, spiggots, self-closing taps,

them, put our lips next to the blade and let lakewater run into our mouths
- something on how sweet it was, Ontario lake water, like
maple sap dripping from spiggots, just exactly
that sweet

World Water Day Poetry Slam

Here in the Okanagan, we irrigate an arid landscape to grow apples (which don’t pay anymore) and grapes. I’m thinking I should sign up for the World Water Day Poetry Slam organized by Nancy Holmes’ students at UBC Okanagan, March 20, 11.30-1.30 pm in the Sun Room (really just the cafeteria half-closed off). But then I’d have to write a poem. A slammin’ poem. A slammin’ slam poem. I don’t know.
